Background of Online Kundalini Yoga Techniques for Healthy Weight Loss:

Don’t be deceived by the apparent simple nature of the yoga exercises that constitute this set.  Once you begin to practice this program you will realize its profound benefits to healthy weight loss and much more in a relatively short period of time.

The eight yoga exercises that form this set come primarily from the schools of Kundalini Yoga & Hatha Yoga.  They, like all yoga poses and movements, work on your being at many different levels.  This potent set is designed to not only help you lose weight and burn fat effectively, but, also helps you significantly at an energetic and metabolic level.

The breathing exercises done in conjunction with the movements, help expand you lung capacity, improve your circulatory system and raises the internal heat of the body, thus helping it to burn up and eliminate toxins, dead gases and waste products.

For safe and healthy weight loss, practice this set daily if possible.  Start off doing each exercise for only about 30 seconds or 1 minute each and then build up from there.  Use the modifications that are provided if you need to and be sure to pace yourself.

If you need to take a short break between the exercises do so, otherwise do them in sequence one after the other without rest.  The purpose of this kundalini yoga set, is not only to help you loose the weight, but also to develop a healthy, fit body full of abundant energy.

For complicated postures, illustrations have been provided.  Also, provided below is the Breath of Fire Breathing Exercise Video, as this kundalini yoga pranayama is extensively used throughout this set.

    Dear Brother Anmol
Just through the search engine I stepped into your site, while I was searching for “Yoga for Weight Loss”. And I’m impressed by your service to the human race by educating this wonderful art. Here is my problem. I weight 120 Kgs. I’m 26 years old. And now I’ve done both “PCL” and “ACL” ligaments reconstructed in my right knee due to a road accident. So I’m in a tough situation to lose my weight immediately after I start walking on Aug 15, 2010. Do you have any other additional tips for me to get rid of my obesity? Help me to live with a healthy knee for at least next 10 – 15 years, so that I could earn some money to run my family. Because my Artho-Surgen advised me that if I reduce 30 Kgs, I can be out of trouble. Or else I’ll face consequences. As I’m from a middle class family I should work hard to meet my family’s needs. It is possible only if I reduce my weight. So please give me some special tips that can immediately reduce weight. I’ll be thankful to you like a brother…

    Hi Anmol,

Congrats for the opening of your ‘Yoga and Meditation’ store! :)

I have been practising Surya Namaskar daily, since a week. I started with 5 and am doing 15 now. I plan to increase the number gradually. Please tell me if its ok to take a break or two of few seconds while I do 15 Surya Namaskars? I have been taking at least 2 breaks, few seconds long, after every 5-6 Surya Namaskars. Also, being a starter, how many Surya Namaskars (maximum) are feasible for me?

    Thanks,
    Varsha

    Santosh Kumar Says:

I started the Yoga for burning fat and weight loss this morning. After doing the first 6 exercises from arm raise exercises to archer pose I felt good. But after some time may be in a few hours I felt unsteady and uneasy and was left withis feeling of a heavy head until evening. I am 53 yrs old and have recently started taking a tablet for blood pressure. I did feel some pressure on my chest. I do not have any angina problems. Please guide what could be wrong. Do you think that the yoga exercises I did today have thrown up an angina issue which is normally detected during a stress test. I have been doing Kapalbharti which has not caused any trouble. Please advise what precautions to take since I have to reduce my weight by 15 kgs. over the next 5/6 months.
