Osho Quote On Happiness & Simply Being Yourself
Commentaries on the Masters of Meditation

The following inspiring quote is from the great Mystic Master Osho (Rajneesh).

"Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are."

FUNDAMENTALLY JUST HAPPY!  Remember this statement.  It is the reward of a meditative life.  It is important here to differentiate between pleasure and happiness.  Pleasure being something derived through some cause, and by happiness here meaning a state of joy without any cause.  This joyfulness naturally emerges.  It starts to flow from deep within and in it you simply rejoice and celebrate life.

This happiness comes when you simply reside as yourself.  The trees are not only not trying to become prime ministers, they are also not trying to become the stars and the stars are not trying to become flowers.  They are all residing as themselves.  Thus, there is freedom from comparison and freedom from chasing "the other".  There is no sense of feeling "less" or something lacking, which is brought about through the insanity of measuring against some fictitious ideal, or another.  This means that you don’t have to try to become something other than who you are.  In Zen speak - the frog becomes the frog.

If fundamental happiness was not enough, one more most beautiful thing starts to happen when you reside as yourself and joy starts to spontaneously flow… it gives birth to the miracle of Love.

Your writing leads me away from the stories that I get engrossed in whilst traveling on the net.
    Polarity wherever you look -
Jaded cynicism squeezing my laughter away.
And then the universal digital librarian directs me to your writings ……….
and there is relaxedness and a lightness.
Thank you for pointing at the in-seen, so nice as a counter posture to the outbound journey.

I see at the top of your page you assure good karma (which you don’t for sure) but mention that one could help by tagging.
Would love to help but pray tell how does one tag?
Horribly naive I know, I am just a farm girl.

    Hi Susannah,

The buttons under the article (digg, delicious, stumble, etc…) allow you to submit that article to Social Bookmarking sites. Each of those buttons is for a different such site. On these sites readers gather and look for worthwhile articles to read of a particular category. The more an article is submitted the more visibility it gets on these sites. The first time you submit an article to one of these sites you will have to sign up (after that you can just use that account and password for that site). Sign-up is free.

Each site has a slightly different way to submit an article but once you do a few it gets pretty easy. The other purpose for these sites is to let you store your bookmarks in a central location.

You can also try the help button provided to see if it helps shine more light on this topic. Sharing these articles via these sites really does help spread the word, so please give it a whirl.

Let me know if you run into any issues with it and I will guide further.

Also, am very happy the Universal librarian is handing out my address :-D.

    Cheers,
    Anmol
