Free Online Yoga Pranayama Vidoes

Yoga Breathing Exercises Video Series

I am delighted to announce the beginning of free online yoga video instruction and yoga video demonstrations on Mastery of Meditation.  The first yoga video was the AUM Mantra Meditation Video for Kundalini Yoga Class and now when I think back on it, I am glad it all began with the primordial, sacred sound – The AUM (OM) Mantra :-). Now though, I am launching specially designed online yoga video instructions to help you learn and master the profound science of yoga.

There will be several yoga video libraries in time, but the first yoga video series is going to be the Free Online Yoga Videos of Yoga Breathing Exercises (Pranayama).  Yoga Pranayamas use the science of breath control, in order to expand, purify and optimize your entire being.  These breathing exercises work on your many levels and dimensions, and help you reach your highest potential by exploiting the power of prana (chi/life-force).

Use this wisdom wisely and you will soon notice remarkable growth in every level of your being.

Yoga Pranayama Videos Book Layout:

Each chapter of this library with provide an online yoga video with detailed instructions on how to practice a particular yoga breathing exercise.

The chapter will also have written details about the particular pranayama and if an already published document exists with the details of that pranayama, then the chapter will have links to it.  Any new yoga pranayama video that is added will be indexed from this page.

Each yoga video will look to include the information below:

  • Background of the yoga breathing exercise.
  • Benefits of the yoga pranayama.
  • Demonstrations of the beginner, intermediate and advanced versions whenever applicable.
  • Cautions for practicing the pranayama.
  • Common mistakes made for that particular breathing exercise.
  • Any other information that would help you master the yoga pranayama.

Meditation - Meditation – The Secret to Fulfilling your Destiny Says:

[...] Meditation – The Secret to Fulfilling your Destiny By: Anmol MehtaWe all know the famous quote which says that all man needs to live is food, clothing and shelter. Well, I would like to update this quote to include one more item without which I think life might as well be considered dead. The phrase I think should say, that all man needs to live is food, clothing, shelter and meditation. Yes, meditation is the one item I think should be added to complete this phrase. This is because meditation is the tool with which to accomplish the true purpose of human birth, to find the Truth, to find God.Meditation becomes possible when food, clothing and shelter are managed. Without these bare necessities it is very difficult to embrace a deep and significant meditation practice. A hungry man with hungry children is not thinking about watching his mind, he is contemplating the source of his next meal. For those of us though, who have these necessities attended to, there is no excuse for not starting a daily meditation practice.Unfortunately, the wisdom above is not the prevalent thinking in society today. Today the objective is to accumulate more and more wealth, power, fame and fortune. The value system in place supports this attitude. The rich, famous and powerful are respected, adored and applauded. They are held in high esteem and considered the role models to be emulated. With this perspective attention is not turned to meditation and fulfilling man’s highest destiny, with this perspective the direction is always self-aggrandization.More, more, more would have been fine if at the end one could say, I am happy, satisfied and at peace. But, if one looks around, one finds that this is just simply not the case. All around there is misery, suffering, conflict, loneliness and dissatisfaction. The more, more, more never ends and no matter how much we get, we quickly get used to it and then want even more.I have friends who are very rich. They have plenty of money and power, but I don’t see them as rich at all. Inwardly they are very poor. They are unhappy, restless and stressed. No matter how much they seem to acquire, it never quenches their thirst for more. To me the answer is clear. Their life is missing meditation. Only with meditation can the thirst be quenched, only with meditation can peace be found, only with meditation can the true purpose of life be fulfilled. To help see the truth of this one should closely inspect one’s life. One needs to ask, if achieving the material goals one had set for oneself in the past brought lasting happiness. In inspecting one’s life in this way one can learn about the direction that one has so far been taking and determine if it’s worth continuing in that same way.In addition, to self inspection, one should also learn from the lives of others. Observe those that do have and see if they are significantly more happy than those who don’t. For this you may have to look past the image of happiness they might be presenting, for it is important for those who have a lot, to give the appearance that all is well. Dig a little deeper, go behind the scene a bit and out comes the misery, out comes the anguish, out comes the pain. Want to be joyful, wise and loving, then meditate. If you have food, clothing and shelter, then that is enough. Stop chasing anything more and turn your attention inward. You have the potential to uncover the treasures within, and I am telling you that to dig up this hidden infinite wealth all you need is meditation.Anmol Mehta is a Yoga Teacher & Zen Expert. Open meditation - No Shortcuts to Spiritual Enlightenment Says:

[...] No Shortcuts to Spiritual Enlightenment By: Anmol MehtaA single Shakyamuni Buddha, a Lord Jesus Christ, a Saint Mahavira, a Lord Krishna, a Mahayogi Pantanjali, a Guru Nanak have a massive lasting impact on the whole of humanity, so tell me something, if there was a school, institute, program or person with a short cut solution for pumping out enlightened folks by the dozens would not humanity be in better shape than it is? Would not the message of love and peace spread and penetrate society at least to a larger extent than today, where it seems to be almost non-existent?OK, forget that argument, think about this, would not this saint-producing factory have a line twenty miles long outside of aspirants and be all over the news? This is the Internet age, the age of information, a time where multiple 24/7 news channels thrive, where small news in a remote corner of the world shows up at your doorstep almost instantly. So given that, would not this incredible nirvana factory be the talk of the town? Wouldn’t all the spiritual junkies be flocking to it? But the last time I tuned into CNN, the news was still who just died, alas, I might have missed the grand opening.OK, forget that argument, think about this, the monks and yogis of old retreated to the mountains and forests for decades to practice meditation. Were they mad, incompetent, or masochistic? Were they just plain dumb and clueless to the fact that there was a quick fix available? Could it be that these potent, massive human beings just all kept missing the short cut? These fellows have practiced meditation for thousands of years and all of them never discovered the short cut! No, sorry my friend there is no short cut, but if you are still not convinced I will continue with some more reasons below.Let’s look at life. Getting in shape takes hard work, mastering an art can take a lifetime, learning a science, skill or language can take years, but you figured that the greatest art of all, the highest accomplishment possible to man, would be made possible via a 20 minute CD! Sorry, it will not be handed to you on a silver platter no matter what the salesman says. And speaking of salesman, that is probably the best clue of all that something is amiss. The one trait that is common across all the definitions of enlightenment is compassion. Does it really make sense that a fully awakened enlightened person, who is supposed to be completely free, full of joy, bliss and compassion, decides he would rather be a businessman and only help you if you pay him? He decides to rake in the cash to buy his third BMW since he is just not quite satisfied with having a Buddha Mind? If the source feels more like a business than a genuine place to help guide you, be warned – you are about to be conned. No, my friend, don’t waste your money, there are no short cuts and I will tell you something else, it is not ever possible to have one.Enlightenment cannot be brought about through any act of will. It comes on its own and goes on its own. No formula can produce it, no method can create it, and no path can take you to it. Any effort on your part to bring about enlightenment only strengthens the noose of desire and perpetuates self-centered activity, so no outside solution can possibly work for this condition. To illuminate this point the following traditional example is often used.Think of your life as a movie. Reality is what is happening on the screen, everything that takes place is in the movie; the Truth is the screen itself. It is forever hidden by the images moving on it. It only becomes visible when the movie stops playing. Any willful attempt to stop the movie just adds another theme, another story line and the show goes on. Any angle you undertake is another scene in your movie. This movie has to stop itself and when it does the Truth becomes visible. All you can do is watch the movie. As you watch and study the movie you start to see its monotony and meaninglessness. You start to see the pettiness of being endlessly drawn into your self-centered drama. This is the beginning of the end. Keep watching carefully, meticulously, and diligently. This watching leads to the movie ending itself. Then you may be blessed with the Truth. So next time someone comes up to you and tries to sell you magic beads of enlightenment, politely show them the garbage can.Anmol Mehta is a Yoga & Zen Expert.
