Many masters have pointed the way for achieving true happiness in life and regardless of the differing cultures and backgrounds they come from, the teaching has been the same.  Realize that everything is just the way it is supposed to be, realize the perfection of "what is", realize that there is nothing lacking.  In other words, trust life and go with the flow, stop trying to control things.  Whatever comes let it come, whatever goes let it go.

When you realize there is nothing lacking,

the whole world belongs to you.

Happiness in Life Analysis

This is really the secret to true mastery and freedom from suffering.  The reason we seek constantly is that we have believed in fictitious ideals and now believe that we are somehow less, that in our life something is lacking.  This sense of lacking, this belief that happiness will come due to some achievement or state, material or spiritual, then becomes the root cause for our endless restlessness, discontentment and suffering.  Realizing the perfection of everything just the way it is, and realizing you are perfect just the way you are, is the key to freedom and enduring happiness.

So relax.  Take it easy.  Trust your natural instincts and intuitive nature.  Trust life.  Just trust.
