Advanced Gyan Yoga Technique

The advanced Jyana Yoga (yoga of intelligence and insight) meditation vidoes below are a detailed discussion of the seven steps used by the Silent Mind Meditation Technique to bring about the cessation of thoughts and the explosion of insight.  Another videos series will also be uploaded soon, which is a general discussion of this technique, which can be considered the most advanced form of Jyana (Gyan) Yoga and is based on the Advaita Vedanta and Zen Buddhist concepts of nomind, end of knowledge and negation (neti).  This technique, as I have pointed out before, is an extension of the work done by J. Krishnamurti and is in my view, the ultimate meditation for Self Realization.

Big Support for Reincarnation & Comprehensive Hindu Model of Reincarnation

Hindu Reincarnation & Past Life Model

Reincarnation Survey Results

"Do you believe in Reincarnation?" was the last very interesting survey we ran here on Mastery of Meditation, Yoga & Zen, and those results are now in.  The results were a little surprising, as I did not anticipate sure strong support for the existence of Reincarnation and Past Life Laws.  Before I discuss more details on this intriguing subject, let me first give you all the details of these results.

Reincarnation Results
Value Count Percent %
Yes 79 75.24%
Unsure 18 17.14%
No 8 7.62%

Natural Health & Healing

How to Heal Yourself

With the accelerating growth of Mastery of Meditation, I am also receiving a growing number of emails and requests all of which, unfortunately, is difficult for me to keep up with.  I do however try to get to every request, some later than I would like, but the sheer volume makes even that impossible sometimes.  So I appreciate your patience and understanding with regard to this.

J. Krishnamurti Meets the Pope

J. Krishnamurti Quote

Jiddu Krishnamurti on Being Nobody

These days the Pope is visiting the US and it reminded me of a dialogue between Krishnamurti and the then Pope, when they had once met.  I don’t recall the dialogue exactly or where I had read it, but it went something like this…

The Pope upon meeting Krishnamurti indicated that he had heard of him as the famous Indian philosopher and then proceeded to ask Krishnamurti exactly who he was?

To which Krishnamurti had replied, "I am nobody."

I don’t recall there was anything more in that dialogue.

How Yoga Helps Still the Mind for Enlightenment

Yoga to Still the Mind

Yoga to Facilitate Mindfulness, Peace & Awareness

In this article I want to explore further the framework which can be most suitable for the pure Witnessing Consciousness to emerge (a.k.a. Enlightenment).  The Witnessing Consciousness, or pure awareness without center or sense of separation, is the Reality that all serious spiritual seekers thirst for eventually.

In this non-dual state, all appears as "I", or all is just seen as Oneness.  I explained this state in the article, The Miracle of Self-Awareness, I AM ALL, and also discussed it further in the article, Understanding Non-Duality, Hinduism, Buddhism & Enlightenment.

Understanding Non-Duality, Hinduism, Buddhism, Enlightenment & Life!

Non-duality, Hinduism, Buddhism & Enlightenment

Advaita Vedanta & Zen Buddhism

I did a google search for the term "non-dual" on this very site and got 742 hits!  So I thought it was high time I wrote something on this topic :-D.

Actually, a reader asked if I could help him understand what all this business of non-duality was all about, as he was not quite sure he was grasping it properly, and as understanding non-duality is absolutely key for real spiritual growth, here is hit number 743.
