Easy Yoga Poses

Simple Yoga Twists

I love the great variety of exercises and poses that yoga has to offer.  There are complex ones, most of which have reasonable modifications, and there are also simple, easy exercises which are great for beginners, seniors, kids and those looking for more moderate workouts.

These easy yoga poses should not be dismissed just because of their simplicity though.  They are still very beneficial and, if done on a regular basis, can keep you healthy and fit.  Furthermore, they are excellent exercises to use as warmups, either prior to doing more advanced routines, or prior to playing vigorous sports.

True Meaning of Diwali

What Dewali Is

Today is Diwali and along with wishing each and every one of you a very Happy and Healthy Diwali, I also want to share some of my thoughts on what is the esoteric meaning behind this glorious occasion.

For those who don’t know what Diwali is, it is the day when Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after 14 in exile and after defeating the demon king Ravana.  It is celebrated with a great deal of enthusiasm in India and the reason it’s also called the Festival of Lights, is that on this day diyas (small clay lamps) are lit in abundance to greet the return of Rama.

Energize Aura

Build Your Aura

One of the earliest poses I learned in Kundalini Yoga was Eagle Pose and more than it’s benefit of helping develop one’s aura, my motivation for doing it was the challenge it presented with regard to keeping my arms up and straight.  As a beginner at that time, it was a new and different challenge for me and given my determined, obsessive nature, I must say I relished this challenge very much.

Third Eye Chakra Meditations

Meditations to Open Third Eye

If you read the intriguing comments in the Kundalini Awakening Symtoms artilce, you will find that the region which is almost always affected by Kundalini Rising is the Third Eye center.  This chakra (energy vortex) is situated in the center of forehead, just above eyebrows, and although it is so often a part of spiritual awakenings, the particular feelings and experiences which practitioners encounter there vary a great deal.

Neck Yoga Exercises

Yoga Neck Stretches

One of the most important regions of the body is the neck and as this region needs to be worked on carefully, gentle and steady yoga techniques are a great way to stretch and exercise this region.  Yoga exercises can help you strengthen the neck muscles and also help you tone and rejuvenate the organs and glands that occupy this region.  Such neck exercises should be practiced by everyone, but if you are someone who suffers from neck pain or stiffness in the neck, then you will certainly find these techniques invaluable.

Kundalini Syndrome Symptoms

Grounding Kundalini Energy

Although raising Kundalini Shakti (Energy) is the goal of many practitioners and yogis, sometimes if kundalini has prematurely risen or if the energy is too much to handle, the very opposite is needed.  The energy needs to be grounded and Kundalini needs to be brought back down.  From time to time I am approached to help in such situations and as I mentioned in the article, Kundailni Shakti Help and Advise, I would put together a guide for how to deal with this type of Kundalini Syndrome and how to manage such kundalini problems.  So in this article I would like to offer you some ways to deal with this condition and reduce the affects of kundalini if they are getting unmanageable.

Before I present the tips below I would like to direct you to 2 articles which will go long way in helping you avoid Kundalini Syndrome in the first place, by ensuring that Kundalini awakening takes place is a safe and natural way.  These 2 article are, 10 Guidelines for Kundalini Yoga Practice and Dangers of Kundalini Yoga.  These 2 articles will give you the right way to approach Kundalini Yoga and Kundalini Awakening.

In general, the majority of people suffering from Kundalini Syndrome, who have approached me, have practiced Chakra Meditation exclusively and excessively.  So please we weary of doing that.  Don’t just focus on doing Chakra Meditation and Chakra Striking.  Instead focus on doing a balanced yoga workout and living a balanced spiritual life.  This will help avoid the issue of premature kundalini awakening.  Also, there are other tips in the above articles to help you avoid kundalini problems such as abstaining from drugs, etc, which are definitely worth knowing about.

Here below are 7 useful ways to help control kundalini energy if indeed she has gotten out of hand and is causing your grief.

Meditation for Stress Relief

Stress Management Technique

Shadb Kriya works by combining the powerful stress reducing ability of yoga breathing exercises and known relaxation benefits of mantra meditation into one great technique.  The end result is that if you are suffering from anxiety, stress, insomnia, excessive worrying, negative thinking, etc, this meditation technique demands an opportunity to help cure you of these disruptive ailments.

In the article Easy Meditation Technique for Total Stress Relief, I presented this technique but I do think a video demonstration is particularly helpful as there are many dimensions to this technique.  Shabd Kriya utilizes hand mudras, eye mudras, yoga pranayama as well as mantra meditation to help attack stress from all angles.  And how to combine all this correctly is what I show in this video.
