Weight Loss via Yoga, Breathing & Meditation Program Participation Guidelines

Following are the guidelines which I suggest we follow…

  • Please post all comments, questions and feedback in the comments section of this post.  This way all will benefit from the discussion.  Feel free to ask questions or discuss issues, as that is one of the main reasons for this particular class format.  Of course, you are free to email me as well if you would like the discussion to not be public.
  • If you like, you can indicate with a comment that you have completed your daily session.  Could be as short as “did it”, or of course could be questions, issues or more detailed feedback.  The hardest part with a daily yoga and meditation practice is establishing consistency and regularity and I think having to acknowledge that you completed your daily sadhana (spiritual work) will help in facilitating that.  In addition, your comments would inspire others as well.
  • I will post all information regarding the class in the comments section below as well, so please check periodically for updates.
  • Before starting your daily yoga and meditation session, take a moment and tune in to your higher self for guidance and protection.  At the end of every session, visualize yourself and the world as you would like it to be.
  • Do the best you can and modify the class as you require.  It is more important to do something, than be overwhelmed and not do anything at all.
  • I wish you all a wonderful learning and transforming experience and of course a Killer Body by the end of the program :-).

    Dear Manju,

Do not worry. There is never any need to worry. Things only appear to be wrong in your life, when in fact you were already perfected long time ago.

Please practice following 3 things daily, no one can practice for you so you must.

    KapalBhati Pranayama
    Zen Meditation

Today I have finally decided to write to you and if I may say so confide into you. I am 31, married. Until recently I thought I was happily married but I am not sure anymore. My life right now seems to have stopped in its track. I am originally from Mauritius where I used to have a fairly decent job with relatively good money. I decided to come to UK to do further studies. I completed my BA and then got married, I was hoping by then I would be in a better job. Not that I did not get offers I did get but I was not eligible due to visa restrictions. However, now it seems like I am stuck in a dead end job. I am mentally lazy. I lack self discipline and will power. But I have so many bad experience. Everytime I have been offered a nice and lucrative job something or the other prevented it from materialising. These days it seems like I can’t even get an interview. I get very depressed, which is affecting my health. I hate my job but I cannot leave because I live with my inlaws. I have started a course but I look at it now and then and always get distracted. This is how I came accross your web site. My mum advised me to start Yoga, I used to practice it back home. I must say I love your website. Its a treasure trove. I have so much material, but even then I am not able to commit. I start and then stop and say I will start again tomorrow. I know you must have 10000 of people writing to you looking for miracle answers. So far I have only told my friends my problem. I have started having nightmares about my job now and somehow I felt only you would be able to help me. I feel like a lost cause and very suicidal on days. I would be forever be indepted to you if you could provide me with some guidance please.
    Thank You
    Manju

p.s you are a great personality for doing such a selfless and admirable job in such a materialistic world.

    Dear Shankar,

2 methods of breaking habits will help you a great deal.

1- Often addictions and bad habits fall away automatically when you establish a strong yoga and meditation practice. So just do that and see what happens.

2- You can use careful witnessing to break any habit. Observe the pattern very carefully, under such careful observation and attention, habits and addictions are disrupted and patterns are broken.

    For the courses…

Start with 99, 100 & then 101. From there you can jump around to any you like.

    Best,
    Anmol
