Hi, I recently started kundalini yoga and meditation (I had meditated in the past but this is the first time I have integrated it with yoga). I got my menstrual cycle early this month. Would a kundalini awakening trigger an early menstrual cycle?
Respected sir,
I have been experiencing extraordinary super natural incidences for last 14 years in advace form. What should I do next?
Thanks
Krish.
Anmol, I recently started learning about meditation techniques and came across a very interesting site. You might want to look it over.

Hi Anmol
I really admire your site and i just wanted to ask you for advice.
i usually meditate in my bed before i go to sleep.I lie on my back because i can’t fall asleep in this posture and i concentrate on my breathing.Usually strange feelings consume my body and i loose concetration.
Am I doing something wrong?
Do you have any advice on what meditation is best to use in bed?
My best, Ante
All chakra -Muladhar to vishudhi chakra have a link with points on noae, tongure and roof of the mouth. Links are as under, root chakra to tip of the nose, sacral chakre to tip of the nose, solarplexus to roof of the mouth , heart chakre to centre of the tongue and vishudhi chakra to the end pare(down) of the tongue. This is mentioned in some very old book of a reputed yogi. what is the sibnifcance and imporance of this likage. Should we concentrate on the points as well as chakras or is it somthing else? Namaste.
hi anmol,
first let me appreciate what you are doing on this website. i found your site to be very very interesting. i have a few doubts and questions about meditation. i’ve been fascinated by things like awareness, oneness, achieving different levels of conciousness which unfortunately many of us never experience in our life time.
i would like you to suggest me from where to start.
first let me tell from where i’ve started. I’ve started to meditate for the past three weeks and i started off sitting with my legs crossed along with deep breathing and concentrating at the center of my forehead, which of course is the ajna chakra and then after doing some research i found another way which said that sit down and count backwards from 100 to 1 and then i finally found your site and was very impressed by it and for the past two days i’m following your third eye meditation. So basically what happened to me about 4 days back was that i was sitting and counting from 100 to 1 and about ten mins into meditation i felt some sort of energy building up inside my body and it just kept building up and came to a point that i felt it was trying to rotate me towards the right (i know it sounds weird but thats what happened)and then out of fear i opened my eyes, could this really have happened or it was just my imagination thats what i cant figure out.
i started your way since 2 days back and yesterday about 12 or 13 minutes in to it i saw purple circles emerging from my forehead outlined by a flourecent green light and it kept drifting straight till it was gone, but it kept repeating itself, like one after the other.I would appreciate if you could explain that to me.
i have another question- I’m pretty worried about it harming me because i’ve read on quite a few sites that if not done the right way it can cause mental illness, so how do i know whether im doing it the right way.
Any of your suggestions would be helpful and thank you for taking your time out reading all of this i hope i havn’t written too much. THANKS.
cosmic.
Hey Anmol,
Firstly I wanted to say I just started visiting this sight, and the amount of helpful content is astounding. Thank you for compiling so much great information for free.
My question is this. I just began my meditation practices recently (about a week now) and im beginning to feel alot of the benefits already (reduced stress, ability to control my emotions much easier etc.) and i plan to continue my meditations daily. The only thing is, I tend to smoke marijuana on occasion, and alot of the time i feel this helps me slip into my meditations easier, or sustain them for longer. When I first began to smoke I did it just for the ‘high’, but now I sometimes use it in moderation before i meditate. My question is this – do you think that marijuana can be helpful during my meditations as long as used in moderation, or do you recommend giving up my smoking entirely? Any insight you can provide would be helpful.
Thanks again for the wonderful site any any information you can share.
Hi Rick,
Thanks for sharing your experience. My experience with the Third Eye with regard to the sensations and feelings, is very similar to yours.
Have you tried Zen Meditation (Zazen). I suggest trying that technique.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Anmol
Hi Anmol,
First of all, this is a great website. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into this amazing database!
I’ve spent a good deal of time searching the internet for information primarily on the third eye. So much of what I’ve found is very vague and really nothing like what I’ve experienced. Which makes me feel like either they don’t know what they’re talking about or I am misinterpreting my experiences. That’s why I was very happy to find that I was recognizing much of what was being said here in my own experiences.
When I was four or five I remember clearly asking my Mother why the point between my eyebrows felt funny after I touched it with the tip of my finger. She didn’t understand what I was talking about, thinking that it’s just some child’s fancy. So I showed her. She of course couldn’t feel what I was feeling and when I told her to touch the spot between her eyebrows she had no response.
This continued of course. Whenever I touched that spot I would feel a tingling or pressure for several minutes afterward but I never mentioned it to my Mother again because it wasn’t something we shared. And eventually it wasn’t important to me any longer, I was the only one I knew that that happened to. My friends didn’t get it either.
It wasn’t until my early twenties that I became interested in it again. That is to say, started trying to puzzle out what kind of phenomenon it was. And I saw something on TV that mentioned the third eye and sort of liked the idea of the paranormal application.
Since then, on and off I’ve tried meditating while having the pressure present. During these last three years I’ve been able to “call” up the feeling merely by thinking about it. I can be standing up at work, or lying at home in my bed. And it’s become a kind of source of comfort. I’ve noticed that when I’m stressed or irritated at work, all I need to do is bring back the vibration and the agitation will very quickly subside and I will be at peace.
I guess why I’m writing, (after being so very long-winded, sorry) is that I’m very much interested in what happens now? I feel like I don’t care about some sort of special powers, that’s not what drives me. What drives me is need. But I don’t know what it is that I need. It feels urgent and powerful but I know not its face.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I felt like I just needed to vent a little and if you feel that you have any insight to offer, your feedback would be most welcome.
Best regards,
Rick
Dear Ravi,
Breath retention is an advanced technique. So don’t over strain when doing this aspect of pranayama. Start off with less time and build up slowly allowing your system time to get used to the greater flow of energy that pranayama creates (which is what you are feeling).
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Anmol
Dear Anmol,
I am doing Pranayama everday and recently i observed some vibrations in my body while exhaling breath after holding breath long time.
First I start pranayama with bhastrika and after doing couple of kapalabhati excercises, Immediatly Iam inhaling and holding breath quite some time(Trying to hold as much as i can) and locking breath at neck and stomach. At this point while exhaling my breath through nose, I am getting vibrations in my body.
Why i am getting vibrations in my body and what causes to get these vibrations?.
Am I doing wrong way of pranayama or do i need to take break between each pranayama?.
Please suggest me
Thanks
Ravi
How can i add my yoga site to your list?
