    Hi Anmol
    I am suffering from Fibromyalgia. Although Yoga really helps me, the problem is that my body is really stiff in the morning & I can’t get myself to do Yoga in the morning. Can you suggest something for that? Also do you have a video for a guided Yoga workout for 30-60 minutes which would serve as a complete workout to be done everyday.

    I have written about Ayurveda in the following article, although I have not given a complete Vata Diet – Introduction to Ayurveda.

    I suggest the book by Dr Vasant Lad, Ayurveda Home Remedies (I think was the title, if not let me know and I will look it up), which is a very good book for answering your questions and guiding you forward in dealing with your vata aggravation.

    I am suffering from osteoarthritis for the past 15 years.I go to the gym regularly and I am regularly practicing pranayam for the past 6 months every day.I am in the normal weight limits.I want to know something about vata diet.I get knee swellings and pain when I eat yoghurt,lime,sour food,beans and chickpeas. so i refrain from eating these foods.Will vata ever become normal again, or its going to be like that throughout my life time. Will practicing pranayam regularly help me out of vata? (I do 16 min of kapalbhati and 16 min of anulomvilom with some other types) Can u suggest an ayurvedic diet for vata.Thank you for your time.

    Just discovered your website – wonderful site you’ve got here!!

    Have a question for you – we are planning to try for a baby from Dec of this year, however I am overweight by atleast 30 pds. I was wondering if I can do this weight loss set till I actually get pregnant and ease up once I know for sure. I would like loose as much as I can. I’ve been trying to loose the weight for over 3 years now but due to lack of physical stamina could not continue a sustainable practise for more than a couple of days. We had postponed the decision till I actually lost the weight – which hasnt happened so far.However in the past few months felt lot more energetic and felt like my old self (used to be a high energy person). Hence my decision to go fwd with the baby part.I am nearing 30 and dont want to wait too long either. My husband is 35. Please let me know your thoughts and sorry to hog your comment space.

    Hi Gopika,

    Kundalini Yoga starts to open up channels and pathways within us, sometimes leading to these unexpected behaviors or sensations. They normally pass in a short time.

    For the overheating though, please make sure practice in a well ventilated area (use a fan if necessary), sip cool water in between and also take longer breaks. Breath of Fire is certainly going to generate heat within, so don’t overdo it. Build up gently.

    Yes it is the breath of fire. I think I have finally got it though! However when I practice the weight loss set. I feel hot about half hour after doing it and soon after that I start sneezing non stop!?
