am into the weight reduction marathon. i am running daily for 20-35 mins in treadmill, after that am doing the asana of ‘Sarvangasan’ for 4-5 mins. Please let me know doing that asana will help me to acheive my goal of weight loss. thanks in advance

i am 26 years old and i am weighing about 66 kgs. please, tell me that this exercise will help me out for weight loss or not. I have never been indulge in any exercise ever that lead me to put on weight. I am sedantry worker and I want to loose my weight with yoga only. One more point, I am very anxious person and my job is also very stressful leading to stressful life. Please, Anmol can you let me know about yoga exercises as I am doing for the very first time and tell me about to start and how to proceed with exercise. I am having excess fat in my abdominal area as i am a sedantry worker. I am waiting for your response.

Yes you can do Sat Kriya along with the weight loss set. Before the visualization is fine.

Yes you can perform this exercise along with the Weight Loss set without any problems. Do it either all the way in the beginning or all the way at the end. And you can use Breath of Fire with it as well.

Can i perform this asana with breath of fire without any disadvantages for your set of kundalini weight loss exercises (which im performing)? if not, When should i practice it, before, after or during your set of exercises?

I had a stroke last year Aug with only my right leg effected now I can walk but still weakness in ankle and hip joint recovering with slow pace can you help for right exercise for faster recovery.

Sorry to hear about your challenge, but glad to know you are on your way to recovery.
There are several good yoga exercises to rebuild one’s leg strength and flexibility. These are on the website just search for them in the search bar on the upper right sidebar.
Crow Pose for Root Chakra
Frog Pose for Toned Legs
Chair Pose for Lower Body Strength
Forward Bend for Healing
Butterfly Pose for Meditation
Try a few of these above, they are all designed to add strength and flexibility to your legs and hips.

Hi Jyoti,
Sorry to hear of your difficulties. Generally speaking warmth is helpful to get the muscles and joints limbered up in the morning. It is also prudent to start any morning Yoga slowly till the body gets warmed up. Sets like Spinal Warmup Series and Morning Wakeup Series are good for this.
You can try doing pranayamas first, like Breath of Fire, Kapalbhati or 4 Part Deep Breathing as well, to get the system going before doing the physical yoga.
I don’t have a dvd yet of a full guided yoga session. Will let you know though when I put one together as I am getting many requests for this.
