hello again,
i was wondering what are your views on the breath holding practises. is there any tantric or yogic angle on seeing how long one can hold ones breath?
a study conducted many years ago suggested that by holding your breath for longer than 3 mins underwater you would permenantly increase blood flow to the brain and hence intelligence.
this technique was practised by atleast one japanese billionare as well.
your views?
Hi Bhavna,
Yes there is a Healthy Weight Loss Yoga Class as well. Pay special attention to the breathing and yoga portion of that class as a minimum.
It is course #105 on the following page…
Free Online Yoga & Meditation Classes
Keep me updated on your progress.
Best,
Anmol
hi Anmol,
I am new to your website. But very much interested in enrolling for the online classes.Would like to know if you provide any online weight loss classes.
thanks,
bhavna
Hi Mim,
It could be the body adjusting to the new routines and exercises. Give it some time and once your pranic / energetic body is build up, you will feel more alive afer your practice.
Let me know you progress.
Best,
Anmol
Hi Rohan,
1. This is a narcotic affect. Agoras and Tantrics are masters on the use of such chemicals, and really in order to use them safely it is good be such a master yogi first.
2. Mantras: Yes this is a normal experience once you are proficient with Mantra meditation. It is called the mantra singing you, instead of you singing the mantra :-).
3. Desire: You have pretty much quoted me. You can read my thoughts on desire and the laws of intention manifestation in the following article.
4 Keys Laws of Manifesting Desire if You Absolutely Must
Great to have your input on the website.
Best,
Anmol
hello again,
i recently noticed a difference between between mentally repeating a mantra and a mantra being said by something much deeper inside you, like your whole body is saying the mantra. is this a normal experience?
also, this question concerns the effects of the third eye and the power of visualization. i agree that we can manifest thoughts into reality but after experimenting with it, my experience suggests that it is, however, better to be desireless while practising such meditations and to desire(if required) what is best for us as God( supreme being) see’s it and not desire personal whims as in the long run, our own wishes and desires dont really lead to much and we invariably regret our decision or atleast investing soo much time on something so petty.
please comment
thanks a lot.
hello,
i know the ill effects of smoking as well as anyone and an ardently against smoking. however when ever i consume hookah, i feel this strange sensation near the third eye area and find my mind more empty and the remaining thoughts more clear.
is there an explaination for this or is this just an effect of nicotine?
Namaste Amit,
Yes you can practice Shambhavi mudra, but don’t hold it for too long. Release it often, especially if you feel any eye strain. You can continue with the meditation though, without Shambhavi mudra, with either mantra, Om Naham Shivay or AUM mantra.
Having the room dim or dark is fine.
I also suggest the Yoga Eye Exercises for you. Also, it is important to consult your eye doctor if your condition is severe before starting these programs. And to repeat aim for gentle, steady progress.
Best,
Anmol
Dear Anmol ji.
When can I expect your precious answer to my query dated 13th feb 2009. Queries posted after me are answered already.
Thanks & Regards.
Hi Arul,
Try doing the Yoga postures that offer resistance. This will stimulate muscle growth. Do exercises such as, Frog Pose, Chair Pose, Plank Pose (do push ups from there if you can), Bridge Pose.
Also follow a anti-vata, pro-kapha type diet, be careful of cholesterol and excessive fat gain though.
Best,
Anmol
Hi Mitch,
Are you prone to panic attacks? If not, it could be a release taking place. I would though advise you to slow down the practice and take a gentle approach, only doing as much as you can handle. Bellows breath is very powerful.
Let me know.
Best,
Anmol
Hi Pooja,
Glad you are enjoying and benefiting from the website. For your heel try Forward Bending Pose with the toes pulled back. It should help rejuvenate the legs.
Also try Downward Facing Dog, with heels pressing towards the floor to stretch the calves.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Anmol
Hi Jenny,

Hello Anmol,
I did read the reviews from several people above, its very interesting. I have just started an Yoga store online and I am trying to wonder which Aroma can activate the seven chakras, I want to add that product in our store so people can use it.
Our store is http://www.yogastructure.com
Hi Anmol,
Thanks so much for the videos and all the tips, they’re really great.
I’ve only been doing kundalini yoga for a few weeks. I’ve tried a few other yoga types in the past but never really had the patients for it. With ky I felt an instant connection though, probably because of it’s more rhythmic etc.
But I have a question I’m hoping you might be able to answer – I’ve been doing an hour/day and feel great after my yoga and it really seems to help with my normally painful pms etc, and I feel very creative, optimistic and smiley in general but I also feel like I want to go to sleep after each session! Isn’t it supposed to make me energized? I feel happy but exhausted – which in turn helps with my insomnia, but not so good to want to sleep in the daytime..
Any thoughts on that?
Many thanks! Loving your site:-)
Mim
