Requesting Feedback to Help Improve Online Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Classes
As this Kundalini Yoga blog has grown, I see more people signing up for the Online Kundalini Yoga and Guided Meditation Classes and this makes me very happy :-D. What I would like to do is make all of you who do sign up and take the online courses more happy also. So I am requesting feedback from you on how to improve these online classes. The classes started as an experiment and although have proven to be successful, I think there is room for improvement. So I would like to hear your ideas on how to do this.
Here are some ideas I have for improving the classes, please let me know what you think of them and also, please share with me any ideas you may have. You may email me at anmol@anmolmehta.com or you may simply leave comments at the bottom of this post. Looking forward to any feedback you have to offer.
Ideas for Improving Online Kundalini Yoga & Guided Meditation Classes:
1. Add video demonstrations or illustrations for the Yoga exercises, meditation techniques and Pranayamas (breathing exercises) to help make them more clear.
2. Add a FAQ which answers some common questions like how to register, when can I start, etc.
3. Start a class at a particular time so that a group of students can start together and share their experiences. This worked very well when the first course was launched (Introduction to Kundalini Yoga & Guided Meditation Course #101).
4. Add more classes :-). If you have particular requests please let me know.
So there are some of my ideas, looking forward to hearing yours.
I’m sure you’re busier than I can even imagine. However; you asked for it!:
TAPE MORE FULL LIVE CLASSES — THEY’RE THE BOMB!!!! I GOT SO MUCH OUT OF THE ONE — WANT MORE!! Plain and simple. Namaste (truly you are a gem).
When I started the Heart Chakra Meditation, Balancing & Healing Online Class Syllabus: Course #102. I experienced some issues, weird dreams, deep seated anger surfacing, and a feeling like my mind was splitting. There was also an intense heat in my body. I knew I had some things to work through here. There were two other websites in particular that helped with this. On one of the sites I found something called the safeties. My issues went away when I began practicing daily the five Tibetans, forgiveness, appreciating, and surrender. I really felt stuck on forgiveness and surrender before this. The site is http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/the-safeties.html. The site for clearing and cooling the energy is : http://home.wxs.nl/~eijl0000/par11tips. This additional information gave me the ability to keep going. Now that am on course 104, I feel the heat but it doesn’t bother me anymore and my mind and soul feel more solid. I have experienced the multitude of benefits from hatha yoga before in my life and I am now experiencing the multitude of benefits from kundalini yoga. I am evolving. This course is awesome.
Dear Keith,
Thank you so much for your feedback, thoughtfulness and concern for fellow seekers.
To those currently practicing Kundalini Yoga, please do follow the important guidelines that I have laid out in the article 10 Important Guidelines for Kundalini Yoga Practice especially Item #4 – Safety Guidelines. Also, please don’t jump ahead or take short cuts and follow the progression as suggested in the meditations and yoga sets.
MOST IMPORTANT Reminder: Kundalini Yoga is very powerful and I don’t want you to over strain when doing the practices. If at any time you feel you are over doing it, please slow down or take a break entirely. It is important to progress systematically, intelligently and slowly.
The Kundalini Yoga we do here is specifically designed to not directly over activate the chakras, but more so to prepare the system to handle more and more energy by developing its overall capacity.
Keith can you please share with us your experience with Kundalini which you refer to in your comment so that we may learn from it.
Best,
Anmol
Dear Fellow Seeker: Kundalini Yoga is a dangerous practice for anyone not already well situated in spiritual life. It is not a topic to be shared with the general public. I recommend you take down articles such as these before innocent people potentially get hurt. I am speaking from personal experience. Again, kundalini yoga is a very advanced topic that should ONLY be shared with advanced yoga practitioners. OM Shanti, Keith Johnson
